Throughout October, as one of the official partners of the Singapore International Photography Festival (SIPF), culture360.org has been organising numerous events including a presentation and showcase of the five finalists of our online photo contest. It also held a forum called Perspectives from Asia and Europe at the Singapore Art Museum on 13 October in presence of the SIPF curators.
September saw the successful launch of the project Lessons in Film, which promotes the importance of cultural exchanges between Asia and Europe through films.
At the end of this month, ASEF's Cultural Exchange Director, Sabina Santarossa, will be at the 1st World Biennial Forum in Gwangju, South Korea. The event is the first of its kind destined to biennale organisers and related professionals. It is supported by ASEF as part of the programme Creative Encounters: Cultural Partnerships between Asia and Europe. The culture360.org correspondent Veerangana Solanki will be reporting about the forum from Gwangju.
Finally, ASEF is launching 4 comic books within the framework of Lingua Comica, a project that encourages new relationships between Asians and Europeans through comics. Never formally published or disseminated, they are now presented as one comprehensive set on 7 November during the Singapore Writers Festival (SWF).
Wish you all an enjoyable read!
