www.on-the-move.org is a website dedicated to information about international mobility in the areas of theatre, dance, music and other performing arts disciplines. We issue a regular bulletin with opportunities for the mobility of artists and other performing arts professionals plus news, policy and resource items that specifically concern international mobility.

You are invited to send us news and announcements with specific opportunities or information, to facilitate and encourage cross-border professional mobility in the contemporary performing arts. Suitable news items will be posted on the website and is distributed to our subscribers worldwide in our newsflash.

Grants for Mobility

International Visegrad Fund – small grants (deadlines: 1 Sep & 1 Dec)The International Visegrad Fund supports projects in the fields of cultural cooperation, scientific exchange and research, education, exchanges between young people, cross-border cooperation and promotion of tourism. It is open to projects thematically related to Visegrad cooperation (Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic & Slovakia).EU-ACP Support programme to cultural industries in ACP countries – call for proposals (deadline: Nov 28)EU-ACP Support programme to cultural industries in ACP countries programme launched with a call for cultural cooperation projects between operators in Africa-Caribbean-Pacific countries.European Cultural Foundation – grants for artistic projects (deadline: 1 Sep)The new ECF Grants scheme – The support we provide is taking on a radically new shape. From now on, there will be two separate funding lines, and individuals as well as organisations can apply for certain grants. The application process is much simpler – no more form-filling!

Open Society Institute Arts and Culture Network Program (open deadline to 2010)The Open Society Institute's Arts and Culture Network Program (ACNP) makes grants to individuals and organizations to support projects that draw on the power of culture, in particular artistic and expressive culture, to help build and maintain open societies. The ANCP supports Roma as well as Caucasian, Central Asian, Afghan and Turkish projects.
