FIRST ANTHOLOGY OF CUBAN THEATRE IN THE U.S.A.TO BE PUBLISHED IN CUBA, IN SPANISH

Presentation at the XIV Havana International Book Fair
Teatro cubano actual is a critical anthology of U.S. Cuban theater, edited by Dr. Lillian Manzor (professor at the University of Miami) and Alberto Sarraín (theater director, Miami-Havana), to be published by Ediciones Alarcos in Havana, January 2005. This anthology will be a landmark in theater studies and U.S.Cuban studies for a number of reasons: 
· It is the first anthology of Cuban theater in the U.S. to be published in Cuba
· It is the first anthology to include the works of U.S. Cuban playwrights who write  in English. Writers are Jorge Ignacio Cortinas, Nilo Cruz, Dolores Prida, Caridad Svich and María Irene Fornés
· It is the first anthology of U.S. Cuban theater available in Spanish
The anthology will be presented at the XIV Havana International Book Fair in Cuba, February 2005.
