Luminato Festival is Toronto’s international multi-arts festival reaching more than 700,000 attendees in 2014. For 10 days each June, Luminato Festival transforms Toronto’s theatres, parks and public spaces into 268 events many of which are free, at 30 venues across the city. Last year Luminato showcased 1,336 participating artists (77% Canadian artists, 305 international artists from 20 countries) celebrating theatre, dance, music, literature, food, visual arts, magic, film, and more. In the last eight years, Luminato has become one of the preeminent arts festivals in North America, having commissioned over 66 new works of art, and featured 7,500 artists from 40 countries.

Applications for the grants are due by April 17th, 2015, for projects taking place between July 1st 2015, and June 30th 2015.
USArtists International provides support for American dance, music, and theater ensembles and solo artists from across the country who have been invited to perform at significant international festivals and performing arts markets anywhere in the world outside the United States and its territories.
Eligible applicants must:
a) Be a dance, music or theater ensemble or solo artist, including practitioners of folk and traditional forms, that work at a professional level
b) Be designated by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, or have a U.S.-based fiscal sponsor that is designated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
c) If an ensemble, have the majority of its performing members be U.S. citizens or permanent residents (whether a U.S.-based ensemble or a collaborative project with artists in the host country). The lead creative artist of a collaborative ensemble must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
d) If a solo performer, be invited to perform as a soloist without accompaniment and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
e) Be invited for performances of no less than 20 minutes in duration, which may be comprised of single or multiple works or excerpts from longer pieces.

Now in its 6th year, NY Theatre Intensives is a 6-week cross genre program for actors, writers and directors that focuses on the development of new plays and the collaborative experience. In association with the artists of the Ensemble Studio Theatre, is offering scholarship opportunities for its summer 2015 session in New York City, June 20 through July 31, 2105.
Due Date for Application is March 30^th, 2015.
Write a one-page monologue that starts with the phrase “I dare you!” Check that your piece has the following elements: What is the speaker doing? Is the setting in conflict with the speaker? What time of day is it? What is the temperature and how does it affect the speaker? What is the question of the monologue? And how does the speaker change in the course of the speech? What does the speaker learned?
One FULL TUITION scholarship, one HALF scholarships and several honorable mentions will be awarded in the first round of the competition
