Yoga for Performers Summer Program with Korina Kontaxaki of Theatro Transcendental

Yoga Satsanga Ashram in Wales, U.K. – August 2014

Introduction to Transcendental Theatre Training

This 10-day program provides training for actors and performers from around the world, who may wish to explore the benefits and discipline which Yoga practice can offer. Great importance is given to the cleansing of the system (mind, emotions, body) and collaboration of mind and body.  The performer becomes a clear medium for the play’s message, successfully transmitting positive life-changing concepts to the audience. In order to achieve this, the performer is trained to focus on maintaining high levels of energy on stage, so that they can keep the audience engrossed and in high mental states during the performance. A vegan diet, Yoga, meditation, body training and devised theatre are essential elements of the course. At the end of the nine day training, a certificate for the foundation course will be offered.

Theatro Transcendental is a theatre company based in Cyprus, founded by actress and Yoga teacher, Korina Kontaxaki. To find out more about the company, its founder, and the Summer course in Wales, please visit:
