The Foundry is bringing people to NYC from all over the world for a kind of there-are-other-ways-to-do-things show & tell – people who are working and living within innovative, alternative systems and orientations that make the world work differently.  We didn't know so many amazing things are actually happening now and indeed have been for decades. So we decided to put together an event that features some of these innovators and their work — a kind of best practice exchange/performance of ideas called THIS IS HOW WE DO IT — and we hope everyone we know will come and bring people we don't know with them.

We're speaking with an extraordinary collection of people and groups from around the world, and hope to have all confirmations in place by mid-March when we will send out our 'official' invitation.

Info — as of today — is below.

Please shoot us an email with any questions or ideas, or what you think of this event, and/or to let us know if you can join us.

Away we go, hope you're coming with us

A festival of dialogues about another world currently under construction

Apr 20-22 @ Cooper Union, NYC

Friday night, April 20th at Cooper Union's Great Hall

We're gathering a panel of those who've been doing this work for a long time who will take us through the history and current practice of "building a new world in the shell of the old."   We're thrilled to announce that GRACE LEE BOGGS is our first confirmed guest.  For those of you who don't know Grace, she is one of the greatest philosophers and political visionaries of our time (and then some.)  She's been a part of almost every major movement in the United States over the last 75 years;  she's 96, intellectually ageless and still going strong.  Don't miss Grace – it's a privilege to have her with us.

Saturday & Sunday afternoons (April 21 & 22) at Cooper Union's Rose Auditorium

Each afternoon there will be two dialogues discussing various innovative practices underway in workplaces, public safety, education, new economic systems, healthcare etc.
