If you are a practicing director at the start of your career or feel the need to refresh and refill your directing arsenal, our intensives offer a great chance to improve skills, to find new international network and collaboration. Share and exchange your ideas with colleagues from different parts of the world, gain new helpful tools and professional tips under the competent guidance. 

The programme includes intensive practical training with the Russian theatre director and teacher. The workshop is open to theatre directors working in various techniques and genres who are interested to acquire reliable toolkit to create contemporary professional productions. Participants will learn some of the effective techniques and approaches towards contemporary performance practice in the context of the short rehearsal time and multicultural creative team.  

Moreover, the International Directing intensive opens the door towards unique professional development opportunities for directors – practical acquaintance with the Russian Theatre Tradition, participation in collaboration projects and practice during performance productions with professional actors at Russian repertory theatres. 

The workshop working language is English.

the International University ”Global Theatre Experience” (IUGTE) have announced several partial scholarships for professional dancers, choreographers, actors and circus performers

Selection Criteria and Eligibility

The scholarship programme supports professional artists from different countries and diverse art forms and techniques.

Who can apply?

– dancers

– choreographers

– actors (dance theatre, physical theatre, drama theatre, musical theatre)

– contemporary circus performers

The applications are considered on the basis of the candidates background and previous achievements, individual experience and qualifications. Priority is given to those candidates who are able to show their reliability, potential to professional development and clear motivation to participate in contemporary performing arts processes at international level.
