Dear readers,
Welcome to TEH Newsletter #5 2011, featuring the latest news from Trans Europe Halles – a European Network of Independent Cultural Centres. The TEH Newsletter is produced by the TEH Coordination Office in Lund, Sweden.

May has been a busy month for Trans Europe Halles. First up was TEH Leaders Lab #1, which gathered cultural leaders from both north and south for two days of discussion and exchange at Mejeriet in Lund. The following week, all Engine Room Europe project partners met at Melkweg in Amsterdam. Twelve cultural centres from across Europe are now firing up their engines and getting ready for three years of seminars, events, platforms and workshops, with the aim to increase the capacity and sustainability of the independent culture sector in Europe.

And finally, providing the volcanic ash doesn't settle over us within the coming days, the TEH Coordination Office will head to France to prepare for TEH Meeting 72, 27-30th October at TNT in Bordeaux!

Also in this newsletter – don't forget to sign the we are more manifesto before July to ensure vital support for culture in the next EU budget. Read more below on how to install the iFrame tool on your website and start collecting signatures!

Enjoy the read,
Marian Söderholm
TEH Office Manager
