Dear readers,

Welcome to TEH Newsletter #10 2013, featuring the latest news from Trans Europe Halles!

Dear readers,

This is the last TEH newsletter of 2013, and what a year it has been! We had two amazing TEH meetings in Riga and Marseille and celebrated our 30th anniversary. We also launched our new website and filled it with totally unique material from the independent sector. Both theStaff Exchange Programme and the Volunteer Project 220Volts! culminated during Summer, as did many other network projects and activities organised in the framework ofEngine Room Europe. The many successful projects have involved both young and old, from volunteers to senior directors, which lays a solid foundation for the future of the network.

We're definitely looking forward to the future, and if you want to take part in forming strategies for how to change things for the better, join us for the upcoming conference The Future Is Not What It Used To Be in Amsterdam & Amstelveen in April 2014. Don't forget to register soon for the special early bird price!

Exploring creativity is what Manifatture Knos and other Italian independent culture centers are doing in the fight against boring PowerPoint presentations!

Skorohod struggled for equal rights in Russia and for a better future. Read more about theQueer film festival that they hosted in this newsletter.

Do not miss to check out the fantastic photos from TEH meeting 76 in Marseille on Flickr. You can also find the pictures from all the TEH meetings 1-75 (1983 – 2013) that were presented in the anniversary celebration, on Facebook.

Trans Europe Halles is a European Network of Independent Cultural Centres. The TEH Newsletter is produced by the TEH Coordination Office in Lund, Sweden.
