Spring has sprung in Arezzo, and we have just finished our Spring semester. We couldn't be more proud of the excellent work our students created while studying with us at the Accademia. The halls, studios, and classrooms which were so recently filled with the sounds of students hard at work are now quiet as we prepare to welcome a new group of students to the Accademia's Villa Godiola for our Summer term.
We have many exciting announcements to share, including Summer activities, special guests and new faces at the Accademia, as well as new openings for the upcoming Donor's Trip in October. Please continue reading for more information and to learn how you can still make plans to join us this Fall in Arezzo!

Join us Inside Tuscany this fall
Spend Seven days in Italy on this all-inclusive Group Trip
This Fall we are thrilled to offer an exclusive Italian get-away for our cherished donors and supporters. There are limited spaces still available. Proceeds of the trip will go toward supporting scholarships offered to students of the Accademia dell'Arte.
While staying in a private Tuscan Villa just outside of Arezzo (80 KM south of Florence) participants will enjoy meals prepared by a private chef, day-trips to surrounding historical and cultural sites, guided tours of local sites, and access to unique activities not frequently available to outside visitors, thanks to the Accademia's relationship with the local people.
We have a very limited number of spaces still available on this exclusive trip. Can't make it to Italy this fall? Stay tuned for details on our upcoming Spring 2014 trip, April 27-May 3.

Highlights from the Spring Semester at the Accademia.
Here is some of the great work our students have been doing at the Accademia this spring…
- Thanks to incredible weather the Spring Commedia performance was set outside against a beautiful Tuscan backdrop. The performance was a collection of devised Canovacci directed by ADA Artistic Director and Commedia instructor Michele Bottini.
- The second MFA cohort performed their GradLab projects over 5 days in venues throughout Arezzo.
- The Spring semester undergraduates presented a Cabaret that was completely student run. The theme was "Home" and included pieces by both the theatre and dance track. See pics below!
- Barry Lubin, famous for his clown character "Grandma" in the Big Apple Circus, joined us to teach the Spring Clown workshop. Learn more about Barry here.

Summer at the Accademia
June-August 2013
This summer, we are very excited to offer several new and highly personalized experiences at the Accademia.
Summer Arts Program provides students the opportunity to customize their own course of study by choosing 2 courses from a catalog including performing arts, humanities, and Italian language classes. Taught by both University
of Rochester faculty and European faculty of the Accademia.
The Dario Fo Project is a 3-year project cycle offering artists, students and university groups the opportunity to investigate Dario Fo's plays in the country of their origin. Participants will have the unique chance to work with the Maestro and Nobel laureate himself.
A Documentary Film will be shot on location in Arezzo during The Dario Fo Project. Led by Ian Issitt and Erin Crites the documentary crew will film the work of the students, teachers and artists joining Accademia's own Artistic Director, Michele Bottini and Fo himself.

CrisisArt Festival is an annual arts festival held on the Accademia's campus at the Villa Godiola in Arezzo, Italy. From July 3-9, artists will convene in Arezzo, Italy to create, discuss, plan and above all share their visions of their art and the future. Find out how you can help
support the CrisisArt Festival.
Support The Accademia
From the very beginning of this organization we have had a tremendous group of people working with us to reach milestones and surpass our goals. Much of the success of the Accademia can be traced back to the ground-level support of our board, supporters, friends and collaborators.
It is through the generosity of so many that we are able to offer student scholarships each and every term, making our study abroad programs more accessible to those who would otherwise be unable to afford this life-changing opportunity.
We raise funds for these scholarships through a number of activities including charity performances, fundraising lunches, wine-tastings and dinners throughout the US.
Please consider making a secure donation through Paypal towards scholarships at the Accademia.
