Playback Theatre Academic Conference in June

If you're working in a college or school environment and are interested in playback, then this may be of interest to you!

This is an exciting and important conference on playback theatre in schools, colleges, and universities taking place in June at the University of Windsor in Canada (near Detroit).

The purpose of the conference will be to share what we are doing, discuss research possibilities, develop guidelines for the teaching of playback in the academy, and of course, meet each other. Toronto Playback Theatre, a dynamic group, will perform for us.

Here are just some of the topics:

•Playback Theatre in H.S. Classroom: A Curriculum
•Creating and Cultivating Playback Theatre in the University
•Playback for the University Theatre Student
•Playback in a Deaf/Hearing Context
•Playing at Life: the role of play in the prismatic illumination of the self

Gail Campbell, a professor in the theatre department, is organizing. You can check out details and register at: http://www3.sympatico.ca/gail.campbell/

I'll be there and will look forward to meeting you.

Yours,

Jonathan
