Periodically we issue a bulletin with news, policy and resource items that specifically concern mobility, or relate to opportunities that generate the mobility of artists.

Grants for Mobility

European Year of Intercultural Dialogue 2008 grants (deadline: 31 Jul) The European Commission announces two calls for proposals for actions for the European Year. Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation – intercultural dialogue grants 2007 (deadline: 1 Jun) Reminder of second deadline: proposals for activities and initiatives that support intercultural dialogue in the 37 Euro-Mediterranean countries.

Calls for participation

PACT Zollverein Atelier, July 6 (deadline: 11 May) Platform for professional and emerging artists (new art and choreography) invites participation,  Essen, Germany. Dance Marathon Madrid, Jun 1-2 (deadline: 1 May) A 24 hour non-stop dance event with over 150 companies and dancers, each performing for a maximum of 10 minutes each. Open to all, prizes awarded. [Terminal00] Festival, London & Ljubljana: open to balkan region artists (deadline: 20 Apr) International balkanart festival extends its boundaries.  Participation invited by artists from balkan region, many arts categories. Festival ex Ponto, 2007/2008/2009, Ljubljana (deadline: 1 May) Open for proposals from performance companies and artists. 2007 theme: Politics in Theatre and Theatre in Politics. Themes for 2008 and 2009 also published and applications invited.

River//Cities Platform meeting, Lisbon, 25-27 Oct The River//Cities platform is pleased to announce that its third meeting will be held in Lisbon during the Portuguese Presidency, 25th to 27th October 2007. Casa Asia Award 2007 Award open to people and organisations in Spain and Asia-Pacific who have contributed exceptionally to the improvement of understanding, dialogue and relations between Asian societies, the Pacific and Spain with their projects or performances. Container seeks contents: artistic & educational materials for SE Asia The Collective "clowns d'ailleurs et d'ici" in France are collecting educational, arts and other donated materials to fill a container to be sent to echools, cultural and social projects in Cambodia, Laos & Vietnam.
