November 21, 2007 is a website dedicated to information about international mobility in the areas of theatre, dance, music and other performing arts disciplines. We issue a regular bulletin with opportunities for the mobility of artists and other performing arts professionals plus news, policy and resource items that specifically concern international mobility.

You are invited to send us news and announcements with specific opportunities or information, to facilitate and encourage cross-border professional mobility in the contemporary performing arts. Suitable news items will be posted on the website and is distributed to our subscribers worldwide in our newsflash.

On-the-Move user survey – please contribute! Cultural cooperation EU-Russia – joint agreement EU/ CULTURE: Towards more cultural cooperation between EU and Russia On 25 October, the Portuguese Minister of Culture, Isabel Pires de Lima, the EU Commissioner Ján Figel', the Slovenian Minister of Culture Vasko Simoniti and the Russian Minister of Culture Alexander Sokolov, gathered in Lisbon for the first meeting of the EU-Russia Permanent Partnership Council on Culture, adopted a Joint Statement outlining the future priorities for cultural cooperation between the two partners. 1001 Actions for Dialogue '1001 Actions for Dialogue' is a major international campaign which sets out to create a mass mobilization of people and actions across thirty seven countries, all focused on the aim to know the 'other'.  The Internationalisation of Cultural Life – Swedish international cultural policy The Ministry of Culture in Sweden publishes a paper outlining increased commitment to international cultural cooperation from 2008. Kajaani conference on EU-Russia and Northern Dimension cultural cooperation Conclusions of the Conference on the Northern Dimension and Culture in Kajaani Representatives of the Nordic and Baltic countries, the Nordic Council of Ministers, the EU Presidency Portugal, the European Commission, the Russian Federation, the regional councils and different cultural organisations and networks activating and supporting cooperation in the field of culture convened in Kajaani on 8 and 9 October 2007. Eurobarometer study on European, culture and cultural values Eurobarometer study on Europeans, culture and cultural values published by the European Commission In 2007, the European Commission (Directorate General Education and Culture) commissioned a quantitative Eurobarometer study to measure public opinion on culture and values within Europe, in order to ascertain both opinions and behaviour in this area. A survey covering 26 000 citizens in 27 Member States took place in February and March 2007. Grants for Mobility

ECF STEP Beyond mobility experiences The European Cultural Foundation publishes the travel experiences from some of the 2007 STEPbeyond grantees who travel trough Europe for their professional growth. Mobility grants scheme for Catalunya & Southern France Convivència Passeport Pro is a new programme for cross-border cooperation addressed to cultural organisations from Catalonia, Midi-Pyrénées and Languedoc-Roussillon.

Futuresonic, Manchester, 1-4 May (deadlines: 18 Dec, 7 Feb & 20 Mar) Futuresonic now invites artists, thinkers and makers to get social and submit proposals to its Art, Music, Ideas and EVENTS strands. he festival takes place 1-4 May in Manchester UK. Sundance Institute Theatre Lab, Utah, USA (deadline: Dec 15) Sundance Institute Theatre Program is open for applications for 2008 Theatre Lab. Playwrights, directors, composers or choreographers may submit applications., Cluj-Napoca, Romania, Oct 19-26 2008 (deadline: 1 Mar) will take place between the 19th and 26 October 2008 in Cluj-Napoca (in Transylvania region of Romania), organized by Teatrul Imposibil (The Impossible Theatre) an independent Cultural Association located in Cluj-Napoca.  Iran International Festival of University Theatre, Tehran, Apr 27 – May 4 (deadline: 5 Jan) The 11th Iran International Festival of University Theatre (IIFUT) will be held in Tehran on 27 April until 4 May 2008. XIV Arkhangelsk International Street Theatre Festival, Jun 20-29 (deadline: 1 Jan) A call for participation in the Arkhangelsk International Street Theatre Festival, taking place in Russia next summer.
