European Year of Intercultural Dialogue 2008 – launch of partners section of website The European Union has declared 2008 the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue (EYID 2008). The partner section of EYID 2008 website has been launched, designed as a networking platform. Culture Programme: CALL FOR 2008 ANNOUNCED (deadlines 31 Oct & 5 Nov) + Information Day, Brussels, Sept 14th The European Commission has announced its call for 2008 funding proposals under the Culture Programme. An Information Day meeting will be organised in Brussels on September 14th for potential applicants.Nordic cultural cooperation grants: mobility, network funding, artists residencies (various deadlines) Nordic Culture Point announces the current call for applications under the Nordic region schemes for supporting cultural cooperation in and with the region. Culture Programme: call for cultural cooperation projects with China & India (deadline: 1 Oct) Call for cultural cooperation proposals with and in third countries (China & India) announced. Bi-annual projects to take place 2007-2009 can be considered.  Call for proposals for local and regional cultural activities in Syria, with European partners (deadline: 15 Sep) The Delegation of the European Commission to Syria is seeking proposals for Local and Regional cultural activities in Syria with financial assistance from the MEDA Programme. Partners can come from EU, candidate and EEA countries. NPN grants for contemporary dance international co-productions with German partners (deadline: 15 Oct) NATIONAL PERFORMANCE NETWORK (NPN) support for co-productions made with partners in Germany. Grants available up to 50% of a production's budget. PAJ Europe (grants for Japan-Europe performing arts projects): deadline: 27 Oct PAJ Europe is the Japan Foundation's Performing Arts programme for Europe, offering grants to organisations based in Europe for Japan-related performing arts projects, either Touring or Collaboration/Co-productions.
