TWB_logoThis week is the annual AOW gathering at Brown University, bringing together students, faculty, artists, and activists to explore the ways in which arts and politics can work together.  fD is featuring AOW, along with Theatre Without Borders and the Acting Together project at Brandeis University, on its home page as an expression of gratitude for the strong work they do!


Coalition condemns killing of artist Juliano Mer-Khamis

arj_logoProminent artist and community organizer, Juliano Mer-Khamis was killed at the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank on Monday 4 April. The International Coalition for Arts, Human Rights and Social Justice (ICARJ) condemns this act of violence and laments this tragic loss to our global human community.

exileOn the occasion of World Press Freedom Day (May 3rd), La Maison des journalistes in Paris hosts the 'Exile' International cartoon exposition. 'Exile' is the brainchild of La Maison des journalistes resident, fD partner, and renowned Iranian cartoonist, Kianoush Ramezani.
