This talk is being presented in conjunction with the three-day workshop "Looking at the Politics of the Theater of the Oppressed through Forum Theater" (http://brechtforum.org/civicrm/event/info?id=12457&reset=1), to be held at the Brecht Forum from July 5 through July 7 and facilitated by Julian Boal and Marie-Claire Picher. Workshop participants can attend the lecture at no extra charge; the talk is also open to the general public.

Julian Boal is based in Rio de Janeiro and is an international practitioner of Theater of the Oppressed. He is a founder of Groupe du Théâtre de l'Opprimé and author of Images of a Popular Theatre.
