Masterclass in actor-musicianship

This masterclass serves as an introduction to actor-musicianship, and shows how live music and musicality can form a conceptual starting point when producing theatre and performance. Discover the benefits of musicality for an actor and the theatrical possibilities that lie in playing an instrument! Michael Chekhov Workshop with The Actors Gym

22nd Sept – 24th Sept 2014

Study The Michael Chekhov Technique instructed by American actor and experienced Michael Chekhov technique instructor, Jeffrey Glickman. Jeffrey Glickman says that The Actors Gym Workshop is for both new and veteran actors to come and work together, blast through boundaries and take risks to become a more fine tuned, specific and COMPELLING ACTOR – not just a competent one.

This workshop draws on Michael's extensive experience of inter-disciplinary performance practice and international collaboration to provide straightforward tools for collaborative performance. Michael has told stories both as a solo performer and with other artists throughout the UK and Europe as well as in North and South America. He combines depth of material with lightness of delivery which is timed and paced to perfection and minted fresh for every audience.
