The prestgious first and only theatre festival of India, dedicated to International Theatre Festival of India (International Theatre Festival of Kerala, ITFoK is scheduled to happen in February this year. The ITFoK is organised by the Department of Culture, Government of Kerala, with supprots from Central Goverrnment, ICCR and Sangeet Natak Akademi.
While enters into the 4th year, in 2012, ITFoK theme will be ’Revisiting Masters’. There will be about 14 international and national contemporary plays, in addition to several other performances of Indian folk and traditional theatre streams.
The festival will be held at the premises of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi, the apex body for promotion of theatre, music and other performing arts. The Akademi functions under the Ministry of Culture, Government of Kerala.
