INCIDENT, an online and print publication dedicated to the discussion of performance art and post-performance, is calling for submissions of original, previously unpublished work and documentation for its April 24th launch atGrace Exhibition Space.

What we are looking for:

– Critical essays
– Show/exhibition/gallery/reviews
– commentary
– Op-ed (opinion) stories
– feature stories
– Interviews
– Artist profiles
– Documentation** (Photo/video/audio documentation of performance art)

All submissions will be considered either for INCIDENT's online platform or the first issue of our print edition set for launch in August 2014.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS for our first issue is THURSDAY, APRIL 10th.

Mission Statement:
INCIDENT is a quarterly published arts journal and daily website that is focused on the exploration of writing about and documenting performance art. The journal centers on developing an ongoing dialogue on the vocabulary, form, social roles, and historical significance of performance art. The goal of the publication is to create a sustaining platform and healthy atmosphere for artists, curators, and viewers alike to exchange ideas about performance art through reviews, criticism, theory, feature stories, interviews, and documentation (video, photography, and audio recording).
