UnBox 2013 Fellowships: Apply Now!

For those interested in looking at the potential of cross-collaborative projects, with a focus on the role of creative processes and technology in socially relevant projects. Applications are due by December 8th 2012.

The UnBox Fellowships are in partnership with the British Council; Social and Innovation Network (at the British High Commission); and Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC). This year, we have also introduced a research component where the research fellows will explore meta-narratives around the issues and themes of the fellowships.

The UnBox Festival, held every winter in New Delhi, India is now in its third edition. UnBox celebrates the potential of interdisciplinary collaborations, with a focus on design as the facilitator of innovation and creation. It will take place between February 6 – 10, 2013.

The UnBox Fellowships are a core component of the festival. The programme is designed to be a 3—4 week immersion programme for 15 fellows (10 UK, 5 India) from creative industries and related research fields. Teams of 3 will be placed at 5 host organizations in India where they will engage with ‘design thinking' for: sustainable communities, innovation in digital media, social change, entrepreneurship and new technologies and create tangible outputs that will be presented at the Festival. Teams will also get the chance to pitch for booster funding to continue fellowship outcomes.
