Maverick theatre director, playwright and provacateur, Satyadev Dubey, passed away in Mumbai on 25 December 2011, leaving an enormous void in modern Indian theatre. Our first issue [e-Rang] of 2012 is dedicated to the memory of this inspiring and impossible man who was at the forefront of imagining a contemporary idiom and space for Indian theatre.
