culture360.org wishes to end the year 2012 with the announcement of the successful projects that have been selected in the second edition of the Creative Encounters programme. The 6 projects will take place in 2013 and we look forward to showcasing them on our portal through a series of articles and interviews.

Also this month, the fourth article in the Curating culture360.org series, features Sunitha Janamohanan from the George Town World Heritage; she will present a new exciting curatorial journey of culture360.org, looking closely at the field of heritage management in Asia.

In the By People/In Cities series, the focus this month is on Hong Kong as a design city. This series is part of a collaboration with the Business of Design Week that took place in Hong Kong at the beginning of December.

Finally, Veerangana Solanki interviews our Cultural Exchange Director, Sabina Santarossa, to get her views on the success of the First World Biennale Forum in Korea. This project was supported by ASEF through the first edition of the Creative Encounters programme.

The culture360.org team at ASEF wishes you a Happy New Year. We look forward to sharing with you many more exciting news on culture and the arts of Asia and Europe in 2013!

Creative Encounters Finalists Announcement

We are delighted to announce that 6 projects have been selected from over 360 submissions for the second edition of Creative Encounters: Cultural partnerships between Asia and Europe, an initiative by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) and its partners, Arts Network Asia (ANA) and Trans Europe Halles.

The Creative Encounters programme supports collaborative bi-regional projects initiated by artists, cultural managers, arts organisations, and art networks. Through this initiative, ASEF has successfully fostered Asia-Europe partnerships and created opportunities for networking, cultural exchange, and co-operation between Asia and Europe.
