We are proud to announce the winners of the Asia-Europe Short Stories | Long Way Home. With over 20,000 online votes combined, Yordan Radichkov from Bulgaria and Leroy Luar from Malaysia won the contest in their respective region. They will travel to Ubud and be awarded the prize for the best short story from Europe and Asia on 14 October in Bali, Indonesia, during the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival.

Also this month, culture360.org has added 120 new organisation profiles from Bangladesh, New Zealand, Norway, Russia and Switzerland. From performing arts to visual arts, new media, film, heritage and museums, cultural policy and many others, this Directory maps private and public cultural organisations that are active across Asia and Europe.

Finally, three projects from ASEF's Creative Encounters: Cultural Partnerships between Asia and Europe will take place this month. In Lecce, Italy, Default 13 will gather 18 artists from Asia and Europe to discuss the role of cultural initiatives and government policies in revitalising urban centres. In Kaunas, Lithuania, East East 4 will focus on the management of sustainable urban landscapes and will encourage responsible and ethical architectural design practices. In Jakarta, Indonesia, a Literary Translation Workshop will offer a series of intensive sessions for authors and emerging/mid-career translators.
