Arts & Democracy Project, the Moving Stories Dance Project and New Voices
invite you to a weekend workshop:
 
Cultural Organizing for Community Recovery
 
 

This workshop provides a space where artists and organizers can learn effective ways
to deepen their work and strengthen capacity to use the tools of creativity, imagination
and organizing in community building.

 

Activities begin Friday dinner with an inspirational conversation among veteran cultural organizers such as Jawole Willa Jo Zollar (Urban Bush Women), John O'Neal and others,
and concludes Sunday with lunch. Registration is on a sliding scale: $50-$75.

 

Session leaders include Linda Parris-Bailey (Carpetbag Theatre), visual artist Ricardo Levins Morales, Tufara Muhammad Waller (Highlander Center), Stephanie McKee and Wendi O'Neal
(New Voices Fellows) and the Arts & Democracy team.
