Here is what to expect from some of our outstanding performers and presenters.
Éric Fournier, Partner and Executive Producer, Moment Factory (Montréal, Canada)
Éric will be speaking about Moment Factory which since its inception in 2001 has created more than 300 installations, events and shows across the world for clients such as Cirque du Soleil, Nine Inch Nails, Madonna, Disney, Microsoft, Sony, Quartier des Spectacles de Montréal and the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Will Banff be next…we’ll see.
Conrad Bodman, curator digital revolution, The Barbican (UK) – "Digital Revolution: Exploring Digital Creativity"
Conrad Bodman will be speaking about curating the amazing exhibition, Digital Revolution. Digital Revolution is an immersive and interactive exhibition which brings together, for the first time, a range of artists, filmmakers, architects, designers, musicians and game developers who are all pushing the boundaries of their fields using digital media. You’re gonna want to hear this man speak.
Performers and presenters:
Hiroaki Umeda (Japan). Hiroaki Umeda’s subtle yet violent dance pieces have toured around the world to consistent critical acclaim. Check out a glimpse of his work Holistic Strata, which he will be performing live during Convergence. We’re already prepping our minds to be blown.
Michael Naimark (USA). Researcher, media artist, and essentially the co-founder of your 1980s childhood, Michael Naimark has been at the intersection of art and technology for over 20 years. He has directed projects with Apple, Disney, Atari, Lucasfilm, and Google, and was on the original design team for the MIT Media Laboratory. What more can we say? We can’t wait to hear him speak!
Raymond Boisjoly (Canada). A prominent Canadian artist of both Haida and Québécois decent, Raymond Boisjoly's practice engages representations of aboriginality, language as cultural practice, and the experience of materiality. He has exhibited nationally and internationally and his work considers the nature of technology and transmission as a means to index and understand cultural transformation utilizing texts and graphic presentation. He is the Lead Faculty of the Visual Arts thematic residency "In Kind" Negotiations which (lucky for you, attendees!) coincides with Convergence.

Leading for Interaction:
Design Lessons from the World of Video Games
Solutions to complex problems are increasingly found at the intersection of disciplines, functions, and organizations. As leaders, we must do everything possible to place people at the busiest intersections of ideas, people, and locations that will move performance forward. In this two-day workshop taking place after the summit led by Cindy Poremba, feature presenter at Convergence, you will learn to understand and apply the craft of game designers to their own organizational challenges.
Participants who register for Convergence will receive a saving of $600 on their registration for the Leading for Interaction: Design Lessons from the World of Video Games workshop.
