ADDRESSING THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE OF OUR TIME

Looking for Enthusiastic Producing Collaborators!

It’s that time again! We’re thrilled to invite you to be a part of Climate Change Theatre Action 2019, our global participatory project that uses theatre to bring communities together and encourage them to take local and global action on climate. Whether you’re new or participated in 2015 or 2017, we hope you’ll join us in holding a reading or performance of short climate change plays this fall to coincide with the United Nations Santiago Climate Change Conference (COP25), where world leaders will gather to discuss ways to reduce global carbon emissions.

WHEN: September 15 – December 21, 2019

WHERE: Wherever you are WE PROVIDE: A collection of 50 short plays written under the theme “Lighting the Way” that address various aspects of climate change; a list of resources to help make your Action effective and unique; organizational and marketing support; and a lot of enthusiasm!

YOUR CONTRIBUTION: You agree to organize and present an event between September 15 and December 21, 2019 using at least one of the plays from our collection. Your event can be anything from an intimate reading to a fully staged show, and from a podcast to a site specific performance.

Visit our website for more detail and the list of participating playwrights. Contact us at ccta@thearcticcycle.org to register your event and get access to the plays. This year, we’re determined to get all 50 US states represented (we had 41 states in 2017). Please help us spread the word and forward this call to anyone who might be interested! And make sure to follow us on Facebook and YouTube.
