Aannual professional festival-fair bringing up the question of the Bridge between Tradition and Contemporaneity in performing arts. The Festival is uniting performers from all over the world interested in the research of theatre methods between tradition and contemporaneity.

PARTICIPANTS: actors, directors, dancers, choreographers, teachers, playwrights, stage designers, script writers, theatre critics, journalists, cultural managers.
REGISTRATION:
Candidates should send a CV (resume) and a brief letter of motivation to globtheatre@gmail.com stating the title, dates and location of the event.  
Participation fee: 500 EUR if payment is made before June 15th.
(580 EUR if payment is made after June 15th).
The fee covers attendance of all events of the festival programme, accommodation (six nights), three meals per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and tea/coffee breaks.

PROGRAMME
The Lab is open for performers from different countries and backgrounds inspired by Physical Theater as a bold, vibrant and multidimensional approach to contemporary theater performance. The Lab is putting particular emphasis on practical exploration of methods and techniques of group theatre training as the foundation for coherent rehearsal process, open creative atmosphere and efficient performance making. Practical sessions develop in the form of various exercises and progress from simple to complicated. Gradually the group is proceeding to group improvisations and structures. Every day is setting advanced creative tasks, developing the preceding steps and deepening into the detailed consecutive process.
 
PARTICIPANTS
Actors of physical, dramatic, musical and dance theatres, dancers, choreographers, directors, stage designers, playwrights, script writers.

"TM" is the annual professional festival-fair bringing up the question of the Bridge between Tradition and Contemporaneity in performing arts. It is uniting performers from all over the world interested in the research of theatre methods between tradition and contemporaneity. Participants: actors, directors, dancers, choreographers, teachers, playwrights, stage designers, script writers, theatre critics, journalists, cultural managers.

At the moment the festival has been accepting applications for creative presentations in 2008.
Presentation format:
• workshop/master class
• work in progress
• performance fragment (not requiring any special technical conditions)
• reading/lecture
• any other way of demonstration to the presenter's discretion.

International Performance in Dynamics – Latvia

International course-residency
"Performance in Dynamics"
 
is inviting professional actors, dancers, musicians, directors,
choreographers, playwrights, scriptwriters and artists from different
countries, creative genres, techniques and styles
August 1 – 28, 2008
Malpils, Latvia

This is a project where a group could go through the dangerous paths of
creative traps, challenges and mistakes, to gain unique living experience
and explore the most topical questions on the way to joyful and light
creative process. The programme includes intensive practical training,
lectures, rehearsals and creation of work-in-progress.

The Laboratory program was designed for professional performing artists inspired by the teachings of Stanislavsky, Meyerhold and M. Chekhov, interested to establish deeper understanding of their approach and to integrate their ideas into contemporary practical work – rehearsal process, performance and teaching. It focuses on the practical and playable aspects of theatre training, particularly in terms of exercises.
