In September 2013, we closed the Bayimba season in style with a spectacular 6th edition of the Bayimba International Festival. Our Bayimba team went into hybernation mode thereafter, to evaluate the season and to start preparations for the next season. Now that the year 2014 has kicked off successfully, we are eager to present you a sneak preview into Bayimba's 7th season!
WHAT'S COOKING?
Four Bayimba Regional Festivals!
This year we are once again travelling across Uganda with four Bayimba Regional Festivals. The Bayimba festival season will kick off with the Bayimba Regional Festival in Gulu on the 5th of April, with festivals to follow in Jinja (10th May), Fort Portal (7th June) and Mbale (12th July). We are excited to have added Fort Portal to our festival calendar this time. Stay tuned through Facebook!

DOADOA | 2014 back to Jinja, Uganda!
Together with its partners in the East African region, from 6th till 10th of May 2014, Bayimba will bring to you DOADOA – East African Performing Arts Market, a platform for networking and joint learning for performing artists across East Africa. DOADOA | 2014 will again be hosted by the beautiful city on the Nile, Jinja, with the Crested Crane Hotel as the day time venue. In partnership with Sundance Institute East Africa we are preparing for a number of activities in the area of theatre, most notably the first Kampala International Theatre Festival to take place in November 2014.
