Bay Area Drama Company presents BHOPAL

We are a new theatre company. We are actors, directors, producers and writers, with a diverse and eclectic mix of artistic backgrounds. We are also entrepreneurs, non-profit workers, corporate professionals, academics and business owners, all united by an undying passion for theatre and a desire to promote an art form that we believe makes life worthwhile, beautiful and fun.

Meet our founding team.

BAD Company aspires to present unique and inspired theatrical productions- some intimate, others larger than life, yet others fantastical. We are not merely looking to promote theatre as a medium of art and culture. We hope to spark new thought, foster a better understanding of our relationship with the world around us and light up our collective imaginations to boundless possibilities.

We welcome both experienced and new talent to join us in our efforts and are looking for directors with scripts in mind, volunteers to help with production and of course, actors who love to bring performances to life.  We are open to staging the works of new playwrights as well as the classics in English and in the rich languages of the South Asian diaspora. If you would like to part of a future BAD Company production drop us a line via our Join Us page. We are funded solely by theater enthusiasts like you and every dollar of your support goes into our production costs — sets, costumes, theatre/rehearsal space bookings, etc. Please consider donating. All contributions will be tax deductible.

The cast of BHOPAL has seven superb, committed actors who are rehearsing intensely, together with a stellar production team to bring our audiences a show we can be proud of. You'll find bios and more information about the cast on our BHOPAL page.

BHOPAL is no ordinary play. It requires a significant emotional investment from its actors.  We have started posting character sketches in the words of our cast members on our blog. This week, it's the fiery Sonya Labonté played by Sindu Singh and the powerful Warren Anderson played by Paul Costello.
