With 40+ years of experience working on the human sound, Richard Armstrong's voice workshops at The Banff Centre focus on enhancing existing skills through intensive vocal, movement, and acting training to assist in the development of the versatile performer. There is a special emphasis on the connection between the voice and the personality of each participant.

These workshops are particularly relevant for professional or emerging singers and actors; however, dancers, composers, playwrights, and voice teachers have also found them invaluable. Classically trained singers find that apart from equipping them for contemporary repertoire, the training brings much therapeutic benefit. There is no danger of vocal damage, and the limits of the traditional voice are gradually extended, not least through the release from elemental fears of height and depth.

This year we will be offering both introductory and advanced workshops. Read on to find out more.
