Petition to Support Artists from Cameroon |

On 8th November, a peaceful march was organised in Yaoundé by the Musicians Union of Cameroon, in order to protest against the Port of Douala's reiterated refusal to pay copyright royalties to artists. This demonstration was harshly repressed by the police forces. Artists walked about 3 kilometers before they started to be brutally assaulted and beaten. Le 8 Novembre, l’Union des Musiciens du Cameroun ont manifestaté pacifiquement pour protester contre le nouveau refus du port de Douala de payer aux artistes leurs droits d’auteurs. La manifestation a été violemment réprimée par les forces de police. Les artistes ont marché trois kilomètres avant d’être attaqués et frappés par les forces de l’ordre.
